Our APPROACH TO DANCE TRAINING

Our program is rooted in the intention of providing one-of-a-kind experiences for our dancers, staff, and families. The demands of young athletic artists continue to evolve and our community deserves a program in sync with this evolution.

dancer centered

Our dancers are at the heart of everything we do. We aim to provide a safe, supportive, and healthy environment for our them to flourish.

  • We require dancers, parents, and staff to sign and abide by conduct agreements upon acceptance into the collective.

  • Zenith dancers train in a variety of different styles in an effort to not only diversify their training, but to minimize injury and prevent mental burnout.

  • We provide a variety of activities outside of the studio for our dancers, staff, and families to connect.

  • We maintain an open door policy so dancers, staff, and families alike feel comfortable vocalizing praise and feedback for growth.

eccentric approach to choreography & costuming

Our dancers are anything but ordinary. We believe that their choreography and costuming should reflect their uniqueness. In creating routines that highlight technique while pushing boundaries of movement and performance quality, our choreographers offer Zenith dancers an unmatched opportunity for growth as young artists.

Our team curates functional and fashion forward costumes that beautifully package our dancers’ and choreographers’ hard work. Not only will dancers feel unique and bold when they step onstage, their look will fearlessly aid in telling their story.

unique training structure

The goal of our training is to provide dancers with the deepest possible understanding of their body. This means first providing them with the opportunity to build the strength and flexibility necessary to complete their technical requirements. Dancers then work up to study Ballet, Jazz, Acrobatic, and Tap technique as well as Legs, Leaps, & Turns. Legs, Leaps, & Turns classes dive deep into these fundamental aspects of technique so when dancers step into their style specific classes (i.e. Ballet & Jazz), they’re able to focus on the movement quality and performance value of that style.

We aim to be respectful of our dancers’ time and energy. Zenith’s training structure maximizes efficiency so dancers can both train hard and rest hard, enjoying the once in a lifetime opportunity that is growing up.

intentionally curated performance opportunities

Zenith offers a variety of performance opportunities that both celebrate and challenge our company’s capabilities. Dancers ages 5-8 have 4 performances this season (2 in-house events and 2 competitive events), while dancers ages 9 & up have 6 performances this season (2 in-house events, 3 competitive events (1 with a convention requirement), and 1 concept video shoot).

In complementing our dancers’ training with a variety of performance opportunities like these, we prepare them for the life of a dancer, and human being, beyond our 4 walls.
